    4. If the tooth cannot be placed in the mouth, put the tooth into a cup of milk, saliva, or water as a last resort. It is crucial to prevent the tooth from drying out.
    5. Go to the dentist as quickly and safely as possible.
  • Lost filling or crown – It is common for a crown or filling to come loose while eating. Once it is out of the mouth, the affected tooth will become sensitive to hot and cold temperatures and changes in pressure. Crowns will normally become loose one the tooth beneath it is decaying. Keep the crown in a cool, secure place because there is a possibility that the Delray Beach Emergency Dentist can reinsert it. If the crown is out of the mouth for too long, the teeth might shift or sustain more damage. Here are the steps to take in the event of a lost filling or crown:

    4. If the crown is lost, smear the top of the tooth with dental cement to alleviate discomfort.
    5. Do not use any kind of glue to affix the crown.
  • A Cracked or Broken Tooth – Teeth are strong, but they are prone to fractures, cracks and breaks. This is usually a result of grinding, biting or trauma. Sometimes the fractures of the tooth are painless at the occurrence, but if the crack extends down into the root, the pain can become extreme. If a tooth is fractured or cracked, there is no alternative but to seek emergency dental care as soon as possible. When the segment of the tooth has broken off, here are some steps that need to be taken:
    1. Call the Delray Beach Emergency Dentist.
    2. Rinse the tooth fragment and the mouth in lukewarm water.
    3. Apply gauze to the area for ten minutes if there is bleeding.
    4. Place a cold, damp dishtowel on the cheek to minimize swelling and pain.
    5. Cover the affected area with over-the-counter dental cement if there is no way to see the dentist immediately.
    6. Take a topical reliever
  • A Dislodged/Loose Tooth – When a tooth has been dislodged or loosened from the socket by trauma or decay, there is still possibility to save it. If the tooth remains in the mouth and attached to the blood vessels and nerves, there is a high probability root canal therapy will not be necessary. It is important to call the Delray Beach Emergency Dentist immediately to make an appointment. In the meantime, use a cold compress and over-the-counter medications to relieve the pain. Ericsson Dentist can reposition the tooth and add splints to stabilize it. If the tooth fails to heal, root canal therapy is most likely necessary.

I recently was referred to Dr. Ericsson by my former Dentist. I had quite a few problems going on with my teeth and for years I didn't even want to smile anymore or have my picture taken .Dr. Ericsson took a few x-rays and in length explained what he recommended. Long story short, I agreed to a full mouth restoration! ( Especially after looking at his before and after photo album) Dr. Ericsson did an outstanding job! I constantly get compliments from my friends, strangers, and even my other Doctors. During the procedure Dr. Erickson and his wonderful staff were always so passionate and professional. Dr. Ericsson also worked out a payment plan with me over a time that was budget friendly for me. I Highly recommend Dr. Ericsson to everyone now ! Not only has this boosted my confidence and self esteem again, but its changed my life! Thank you Dr. Ericsson!!

Great experience, from scheduling to services and billing, these guys are the best! Flexibility of appointments, skill level of staff, and professionalism & friendliness of entire office was refreshing and impressive.

The best Dentist ever. Broke a front tooth on Christmas Eve. Called Dr Mark at 8:30 at night. He answered the phone and told me to be in his office the next morning on Christmas Day! Who does that. Dr Mark does. He had a temp. front tooth in place in three hours. There is no one better Dentist out there.
